The house of Delamotte was founded
in 1760 and has always been located in the heart of the
Cote des Blancs in Mesnil-sur-Oger. In 1988 the House
of Delamotte joined forces with the very famous champagne
Salon under the umbrella of the parent company, Laurent-Perrier
and Bernard de Nonancourt was named President.
The Chardonnay grape that they use to produce their various
wines comes principally from three villages, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger,
Avize and Oger all classified 100% Grand Crus. The Pinot
Noir and Pinot Meunier used for both the Brut and Rose
champagne come from vineyards in Bouzy, Tours-sur-Marne
and Ambonnay.

If you want small and glorious, look no further than the extraordinary Salon. There is no malo, and the wines need a long time to evolve – vintage 1996 is current. In
years that Salon isn’t produced, look to Delamotte. Delamotte uses the grapes that would have gone into Salon, so it’s a bargain. Delamotte NV Brut reveals the
influence of chardonnay. A glorious wine of finesse and elegance. Ken Gargett - Champagne – Boutique Bubbly - Dec/Jan 2008 Gourmet WINE Magazine

• 95/100 Huon Hooke – Sydney Morning Herald – Good Living – July 31, 2007 – Tastings Best Sparkling
“ Subtle creamy, nutty aromas; fresh and clean. The palate is rich and fine, subtly complex and with some liqueur sweetness
in harmony with the other components. Streamlined and lingering; a great non-vintage”
• **** Cuisine Magazine Nov 07
“Although this blends red grapes with white, it shows plenty of white-grape character.
Eggy, appley, creamy fruit is at the heart of things, embraced by restrained yeast notes. Firm & dry, it has excellent mouthfeel”
• "92 points - "The entry level Delamotte is as good as a NV as you'll find around town. Quite a modern, well-made nose, ripe
grapefruit and chalky Champagne terroir. Stylishly arranged on the palate, layers of fruit flavour, fine, long and utterly
delicious" Nick Stock Wine Business Magazine Top 100 - Nov 2007
NV Blanc de Blanc
• "93 points - Made under the same management as the scintillating perfect Salon, this is a complex and balanced
Blanc de Blancs, superbly structured and phrased. It's perfectly suited to pre-anything drinks and has the balance
and structure to take trough dinner." Nick Stock Wine Business Magazine Top 100 - Nov 2007

• Decanter - Spurrier’s World, Best Sparkling Wine February 2007 “…amazingly fresh at first, with fresh almonds and dried
fruit on the palate, this is a perfect expression of the vivacity and élan of a top-class blanc de blancs from a very good
vintage."
